Well, here I am creating my first blog. Questions start to descend.

What do I have to say?

Why would anyone read what I have to say?

Do I understand the concept?

What are SEO’s?

Thoughts like these keep running through my mind.

You see I am a lady of 57 years of age, one who has, you could say over her many years, had more than the average interest in clothes and fashion.

On researching how to write a blog articles mention it can help market your business so obviously that would be great! I was also kindly informed of this at a recent marketing event I attended held by The Big House and conducted by an inspiring business consultant, @shamshadwalker to whom I committed to writing a blog a month. Not a too difficult task for some but not an easy one for me. I am not a great self-promotor which does not help when running a business. However, since attending two networking events and a marketing event where I managed to speak to the rest of the class, without being nervous, on my bespoke jackets. I can assure you that for me that was a massive achievement.

I think the reason behind suddenly being able to speak was because I have always loved clothes, putting together outfits either from stores or having them made. I have always loved beautiful fabrics and well-made clothes. I can remember as a teenager my Mum (who dressed beautifully in the late 1950s/early 1960s) took me to buy my first, what I thought and still think, amazing outfit. It was a red and cream trouser suit. I just loved it. Living on a farm the outfit seemed so glamorous. I am not sure how many times I was able to wear it though! My Mum also used to spend hours crocheting long dresses for me to wear to the school disco. I was probably ridiculed but this was the 1970’s and again I loved wearing them.

I haven’t studied fashion academically and I don’t have a degree in anything but after being Mother of the Bride and with encouragement from a retinue of bridesmaids, all beautiful high achieving professional women in their thirties I decided to begin a bespoke design and consultancy service for future Mothers of the Bride (or Groom!), or for women attending any other special occasion. Also, for women who would like something uniquely to them which makes them feel confident and special, my British Tweed Bespoke Jackets are a perfect example of this.

I would be thrilled if you followed me on my ‘blogging career’, sorry I can’t use the word journey. To me that implies getting in a car, on a train, plane or bus! Whether this blogging career is short or long what I can say is I thought I would struggle to write anything but here I am not much later hitting 500 words.

Perhaps I do have plenty to say …….
